I had to get the nice man from the RAC to rescue me and The Bad Boy yester-evening.
It would appear that the suspension on the rear passenger side is 'buggered', to use the technical term.
What a pisser.....
TODAY'S MOOD: Not a happy bunny.
SOUNDTRACK: Chris Rea - 'Road To Hell'
FOOTNOTE: Looks like spending a jolly afternoon phoning around getting quotes :-/
The Perturbed Groover
I hope you get that problem figured out ASAP. Car problems can really but me in a tizzy! Good luck!
ReplyDeleteSally:
ReplyDeleteThankfully, it would appear that it's just my shock-absorber that's gone to the great scrapyard in the sky.
My 'friend in the know' reckons that the RAC guy overreacted a bit by calling the rescue waggon out, but he was just covering his arse because I was on the M6 motorway at the time.
glad it's not something serious....that's the problem with cars...they cost alot, loose value, and always need maintenance
ReplyDeleteGood Morning, Baby!
ReplyDeleteSo happy its not a really serious problem. Your car is so important to your work...
yackydoodle:
ReplyDeleteThe Bad Boy is at least as old as I am in car-years.
It could have been worse, I guess.
Carla:
ReplyDeleteMe too!
I was bricking it for a while last night.
I'm glad it ended up not being a completely tragic scenario! Cars are so stressful.
ReplyDeleteBreaking down on the M6 OH THE JOY!
ReplyDeleteGlad it's nothing too major, shocks go all the time, it's just wear and tear.
Im so glad I found you. Need a Blogger tutorial though, you seem to have it sussed here! How do you PM people, how do you surf general blogs? In short, how do you use this like JS? Kx
ReplyDeleteWe just had major work done on our van and it finally runs again. What a relief when it's fixed but what a bummer when something's wrong. Hope yours is fixed ASAP, LG.
ReplyDeleteWhat a pain in the tookus. I feel for ya. ;)
ReplyDeleteI guess I took the easy way out with my Explorer. It developed several high dollar issues, so I traded it in. Wednesday, in fact.
ReplyDeleteJust a temporary set back. You'll have it back and running again in no time!
Hey! Hope you get things fixed asap!
ReplyDeleteI don't have a car or truck, so don't have problems with.
I have a Scooter though, and it's going to cost me way over $300.00 to get a tune-up and new batteries, and to have the company come and get it and bring it back!
A shock absorber (they should really be installed in pairs) is a pretty easy job, but that doen't mean you won't pay a bunch for the part and the labour.
ReplyDeleteIt's a job I would do on my own if I still had the space.
And a car...
Glad you didn't get screwed there. Still, shocks ain't all that cheap. Hope The Bad Boy is back out on the road soon.
ReplyDeleteDoc
Mr. Groover, you've got a kick ass site here!! Wow! I'm totally impressed. You must be a computer software genious! Best Blogger site I've seen so far. Wish I knew how to do this kind of work. Great job! Sorry about your car.
ReplyDeleteHEY, it's THE GROOVER.
ReplyDeleteGood to see ya.
Buggered? Well, I guess that's a step up from knackered....
ReplyDeleteHope things get fixed ASAP. Hey, you listed my journal to follow, but you listed the wrong one. Wanna change it? I have duplicates, but only use the one.lol. Hugs.
ReplyDeleteGlad to find you here, Drew. Now you can't escape :) That's what I told Carla as well ;) Muwahahaha!
ReplyDeleteHugs, Jenn
